Sources Say Obama Tried to Intervene in Troy Davis Case

Two sources say that President Obama took time to explain Friday that he tried to save Troy Davis and why he did not say anything about the controversial execution.

A source says the White House spent three days looking at how it could get involved in the case on a federal level. However, it was a state, not federal, case, and the President was unable to intervene.
